Taste of India in Hannover

We love to order here. The food is always delicious, no matter what we order. And the food is really nice and hot! Even if we have to drive another 15 minutes, it is still steaming! The portions are also very generous.

So far, every order has resulted in complete satisfaction. Finest taste & solid quality!

Food ordered through Google / Lieferando and ready to be picked up on time. Very tasty and a new taste experience, as it is not the typical “Indian” curry mash. I would only order the food spicier next time 😉

Instead of chicken quarma there was a sweet light dish. The chicken smelled strange and didn't taste good. For the price, unfortunately not to be recommended at all. I'm very disappointed, on site a year ago, it was still very good.

I am an Indian Singh and I must say this is the most authentic indian restaurant in Hannover. Food variety is huge and the taste is very delicious. To anyone looking for Indian cuisine, do give Taste of India a try

Didn't want to give a star. Such cheap quality food. The food has nothing to do with Pakistan or India.

Rice smelled and tasted like musty cellars and was therefore unfortunately inedible. The rest is a matter of taste, but the evening is over. I'd rather cook myself again!

So the staff was super nice and it was quick but the taste was disappointing and I felt it was burned. It was zero spice in it just coconut and even the naan was nothing special and not tasty. For that too expensive ! Sorry but never ever again. Steht’s bemüht reicht halt nicht...

Unfortunately very disappointed today, I like to eat Indian and spicy, but today the food was almost completely cold despite the friendly courier, the main course too spicy to eat, the lassi spoiled and the okra pakoras softened and uncleaned, bedded on brown lettuce leaves, I ate actually only the ok, because I was really very hungry 😪 The dip tasted great ..

Great service Starters: apart from pathra leaves which was delicious, the other starters okra pakoda and Pani puri were below average. Main dish: tasted very well. Desserts: never even go there. Were horrible.

Friendly staff, exciting dishes (especially starters) that you won't find on every menu in an Indian restaurant, very good, tasty food and generous portions. Unfortunately there was no more room for dessert. There will be next time!

Absolutely terrible food! We ordered the buttered chicken, a vegetarian starter and a vegetarian main course along with some naans. They all tasted terrible, the butter chicken was just old, overcooked and chewy pieces of chicken in a tasteless tomato sauce, the naans flat and rubbery, the vegetarian main course inedible and the vegetarian starter cold mashed potatoes with a little chutney. Daylight Robbery! Absolutely terrible food! We ordered the butter chicken, a vegetarian appetizer and a vegetarian main course along with some naans. We eat here a lot and it's always delicious. The food is flavorful, the portions are large and the staff is very friendly. Can I definitely recommend.

Delicious food with proper Indian taste.

We were there and got a wonderful meal. The vegetarian dishes are highly recommended, as is the traditional Korma with lamb dish. The food is a little sweet, but very harmonious and not too spicy. The sweetness and spiciness go very well together. And the staff very friendly and attentive. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Good taste. Many options to taste Indian dishes. We tried only starters with drinks. Offered Namaste Beer which is new but tastes bitter and not so good. ambience is nice and very quick service.

Tasteless food, not worth the money. We order malai kofta and samosa. Malai kofta had allo pakoda instead of kofta and no malai/cream basically test less and waste of money. Samosa was frozen from inside and again taste less. Pakora was uncooked. Mango lassi and naan was good compared to other.

Excellent food and great hospitality at this place. Prices are also very affordable. Can’t recommend this place and the lovely people there highly enough!

One of the best foods I have tasted after long time and I have visited several Indian restaurants and I am not satisfied, for the very first time it was a delightful dinner I had few days ago, the real Indian authentic food and has lots of varieties and especially we loved "*PANI PURI*" It was amazing. Very good place. One of the best indian restaurant in hannover. The price is fair and the portion is huge. The waiter is so polite and nice, he can speak english and german. The one menu that i recommend is fleisch thali when you come for mittagstisch. The menu consist of 4 type of meat that you can choose, served with rice, yoghurt and bread, and it cost only 7,90 euro. This menu is very suitable to be eaten with mango lassi. My overall experience is great. The place is nice, clean and tidy, the food is great with also great pricing and the last is the very very nice waiter. Surely will come back again for lunch.

A very pleasant atmosphere and very good food. The service was super friendly and professional. Also, the portions were comparatively larger than other Indian restaurants in Hannover. Thus, we ordered too much and had to take plenty of food home.

Warm, friendly, incredibly delicious! We just wanted to try the restaurant when we came by a few weeks ago. We were skeptical because it was not well attended, although it looked very nicely decorated and inviting and the menu offered many culinary delights. Nevertheless, we dared and were rewarded: with a very cordial, friendly service and incredibly delicious food! But because we do not rely on samples (no, actually, because it tastes incredibly good and we want to convince as many people as possible!), We were there today with a total of twelve hungry people. Conclusion: Still very, very delicious! I have not been to India so far, so I can not say if it's authentic Indian food, or if the dishes have been adapted to the German palate, but I'm inclined to think it's real. Especially with larger groups of people you should bring some time, because the restaurant has a small workforce, on the other hand, in addition to the on-site business additionally offers a delivery service. Thus, the preparation of the dishes takes a little longer. For that we got all our dishes warm at the same time, and each one of us rolled home more than we had left. This has certainly contributed to the small round of desserts that has donated the house and thanks for our visit. The location of the restaurant is rather unusual and certainly not the best, as the black bear is more known as a celebration area and the packers prefer fast food from the stalls on the left and right. But that's no reason not to eat here, because it's worth it!
